In this Tips & Tricks session, Athira Nair, Product Manager at SymTrain, led a deep dive into the brand-new Voices update, a major enhancement that introduces over 100 new, high-quality AI voices across multiple accents, languages, tones, and personas. Athira demonstrated how users can filter, preview, bookmark, and assign voices based on use case needs, and shared best practices for script formatting to optimize voice modulation. The session emphasized how more human-like and adaptive voices improve realism, engagement, and learning effectiveness in Syms.

In this session, we covered:

• Filtering the new voices library by age, tone, gender, and style.
• Bookmarking your favorites in the “My Voices” section to quickly reuse them across future Syms.
• Break down long paragraphs into smaller, clearer script lines to allow the voice engine to insert natural pauses and better mimic human conversation.
• After selecting a persona (e.g., confused or demanding), match it with a voice that enhances the emotional context, like a stressed tone with an anxious voice.
