In this special year-end Tips & Tricks session, Dan McCann (Founder, CEO & CLO) and Athira Nair (Product Manager) took a step back to reflect on what SymTrain delivered in 2025 and where the platform is headed in 2026. This session connected the dots across a year of innovation, highlighting how AI, automation, integrations, and customer feedback shaped SymTrain’s evolution, and how those foundations unlock even bigger outcomes next year.
In this edition of Tips & Tricks, we’ll cover:
- Key product capabilities launched this year
- How customers are using them today
- What’s coming in 2026
- Real-world impact
- Pro tip for getting the most out of what’s already live
- How to access these capabilities
Why These Capabilities Matter
2025 was about removing friction, increasing realism, and embedding coaching where work actually happens.
Across the year, customers asked for:
- Faster simulation creation
- More realistic agent experiences
- Better reporting and scoring
- Easier management at scale
- Seamless integration with existing CX tools
SymTrain’s 2025 roadmap focused on solving those exact problems, laying the groundwork for a future where coaching is continuous, contextual, and embedded everywhere, not siloed in a single platform.
A Deeper Look
1. AI-Powered Sym Creation (Less Friction, More Scale)
AI was deeply embedded into the creation workflow, not bolted on.
What launched:
- AI-generated simulations using:
- Prompts
- Existing Syms
- Call recordings
- Audio or script files
- Customer tone selection to instantly generate multiple scenarios
- Faster creation of realistic, varied practice without rebuilding from scratch
Impact:
Creators can turn real conversations into scalable training in minutes.
2. Text-to-Speech (TTS) Voice Expansion
Based directly on customer feedback, SymTrain significantly expanded its voice library.
Enhancements:
- 100+ new voices added
- Filters by gender, age, accent, and style
- Bookmarking and “My Voices” for easy reuse
- Improved discovery and usability
Impact:
More natural, regionally accurate simulations that feel closer to real customer interactions.
3. Automated Redaction Tool (A.R.T)
To safely use real calls for training, SymTrain introduced an AI-powered redaction tool outside of the SymTrain platform for added safety.
What it does:
- Removes PII and sensitive data from audio files
- Generates both a redacted audio file and a transcript
- Enables secure simulation creation from real calls
Impact:
Customers can safely convert “golden calls” into training content without compliance risk.
4. Super Org Admin Role
As customers scaled, managing multiple organizations became complex.
What launched:
- A single login to manage multiple child organizations
- Cross-org reporting and user management
- Secure partitioning of data
- Easy simulation sharing across orgs
Impact:
BPOs and enterprises can scale securely, 42+ Super Org Admins already using it.
5. Reporting & Scoring Enhancements
Visibility and insight were a major focus in 2025.
Key updates:
- Sym Results Report expanded to include:
- Direct Syms
- Modules
- Training Plans
- Trainee Assignment Report to track what was assigned (not just results)
- Enhanced Sym Accuracy Score
- AI-based intent scoring
- Low / Medium / High categories
- Clear insights explaining why a score was given
Impact:
Trainers can measure performance more holistically, not just keyword matching.
6. Connected Coach & Embedded Learning
One of the biggest themes of 2025 was meeting agents where they already work.
What’s live today:
- No-code deep links
- SCORM Training Plan exports for LMSs
- API-based integrations
Impact:
Agents launch simulations directly inside their existing tools, no extra logins, no context switching.
7. White Labeling
Customers can now brand the SymTrain experience.
What’s included:
- Company logo
- Brand colors
- “Powered by SymTrain” experience
Impact:
A more seamless, enterprise-ready experience for internal teams and partners.
How to Use
- Use AI Sym Creation to repurpose real calls into multiple training scenarios
- Standardize voices and tones across teams with the expanded TTS library
- Convert best-performing calls into compliant training using A.R.T
- Leverage Super Org Admin to manage growth securely
- Use Sym Accuracy Score for intent-based coaching, not rigid scripts
- Embed simulations into LMS, QA, or coaching tools with Connected Coach
A Real-World Example
Connected Coach is already being used inside AmplifAI. Instead of sending agents to a separate training platform, SymTrain simulations are embedded directly into AmplifAI’s coaching plans.
From within AmplifAI, coaches can:
- Identify skill gaps (for example, customer communication or problem resolution)
- Search the SymTrain simulation library without leaving the tool
- Assign a targeted simulation directly from the coaching workflow
Agents then launch and complete the simulation inside AmplifAI, receive an instant score, and have their results automatically synced back to the platform. The same completion and performance data is visible to managers, creating a closed-loop coaching experience.
This real-world integration shows how SymTrain is moving beyond standalone training and becoming part of the daily performance and coaching ecosystem teams already use.
Pro Tip
If you’re planning for 2026, start by fully embedding what’s already live.
The biggest gains come when simulations are:
- Created faster
- Assigned in context
- Measured alongside real performance data
That’s exactly what the 2025 foundation enables.
